Guardian of the Sacred Nadi Palm Leaves.
For the Guru, Nadi Astrology has never been merely a profession or a business; it has always been a lifelong spiritual calling. From an early age, he was naturally drawn to spirituality and deeply curious about the unseen forces believed to shape human destiny. His father was a teacher who led a simple and disciplined life, yet held a profound and unwavering faith in astrology and its ancient wisdom. This devotion and respect for traditional knowledge quietly became part of his son's upbringing, laying the spiritual foundation for the path he would later follow.
Born in 1966 at Vaitheeswaran Koil, in the historic Chola region of Tamil Nadu, the Guru comes from a Kshatriya family with connections to the traditional Vaitheeswaran Koil Pattamaniyar lineage. Growing up in a place renowned for its association with Nadi Astrology and ancient palm-leaf manuscripts, he was surrounded by temple traditions, sacred rituals, prayer and devotion from childhood. While other children spent much of their time at play, he found himself observing, listening and learning. The rhythm of temple life, the chanting of prayers, the performance of poojas and the spiritual atmosphere of Vaitheeswaran Koil gradually became an inseparable part of his life.
For him, spirituality was never something practised only on particular occasions. It was a way of life. Over the years, this early spiritual foundation developed into a deeper commitment to the ancient tradition of Nadi Jothidam. His journey became one of preserving, understanding and sharing the wisdom contained within the sacred Nadi palm leaves, while honouring the traditions through which this knowledge has been passed down through generations. Today, his work represents more than the reading of predictions. It is a responsibility to safeguard an ancient spiritual heritage and to help seekers understand the guidance believed to have been recorded for them by the great Siddhars.
The Spiritual Turning Point That Changed His Life
During his youth, Guruji's relationship with spirituality was still one of curiosity rather than conscious pursuit. Although he had grown up surrounded by faith, temple traditions and an inherent reverence for astrology, the deeper purpose of his spiritual life had yet to reveal itself. That moment arrived unexpectedly during a pilgrimage to the sacred Kolli Hills (Kolli Malai) in Tamil Nadu — a region steeped in ancient spiritual traditions and long associated with Siddhars, meditation and mysticism.
Guruji joined a spiritual journey led by his Gurunathar, accompanied by a group of approximately forty to fifty devotees. At that stage in his life, he approached the pilgrimage with the light-heartedness of youth, unaware that the journey would become one of the most defining experiences of his life. The pilgrimage took place amidst the spiritually significant landscape of Kolli Hills, home to the ancient Arulmigu Arapaleeswarar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The region is also renowned for the magnificent Agaya Gangai Waterfalls and its enduring associations with the Siddhar tradition.
Chosen for an Unexpected Journey
During the pilgrimage, Guruji's Gurunathar selected only three individuals from the larger group and instructed them to undertake a particular journey deeper into the hills. Guruji did not initially expect to be among them. In fact, he tried to remain unnoticed, believing that his Guru would choose someone else. His Gurunathar, however, specifically chose him and instructed him to accompany the other two. What appeared at first to be a simple instruction from his spiritual master was soon to become a profound turning point in his destiny.
Following their Guru's direction, the three made their way through the rugged and spiritually charged landscape of Kolli Malai. Their path eventually led them across the flowing waters associated with a great waterfall and onwards towards a secluded place beneath a sacred tree. It was there that Guruji experienced something that would remain with him for the rest of his life.
A Sacred Darshan of the Siddhar
In that secluded setting, surrounded by the stillness and natural power of Kolli Hills, Guruji received the Darshan of a Siddhar. For him, this was no ordinary moment. He experienced the presence and blessings of the Siddhar as a deeply personal spiritual encounter — one that he would come to regard as a divine grace bestowed upon him under the blessings of Lord Arapaleeswarar. The young man who had entered the journey with a playful spirit returned profoundly changed.
When Guruji returned and recounted what had taken place, his Gurunathar immediately recognised the spiritual significance of the experience. His Guru explained that despite having travelled this spiritual path for many years, even he had not been blessed with such a direct experience of his own Gurunathar and the Siddhar tradition in this manner. Yet Guruji, still at the beginning of his spiritual journey, had been granted that rare blessing. His Gurunathar therefore gave him a clear instruction: "You have received my Gurunathar's blessing. You must now receive Deeksha."
The Beginning of His True Spiritual Journey
The following day marked another decisive chapter in Guruji's life. Following his Gurunathar's instruction, Guruji received Deeksha — sacred spiritual initiation — from his Guru. What had begun as a youthful journey to Kolli Hills was transformed into the beginning of a disciplined and purposeful spiritual path. From that point onwards, spirituality was no longer simply something inherited from his family or absorbed from the temple traditions of his childhood. It became a conscious commitment — a path of devotion, discipline, learning and service under the guidance of his Gurunathar.
The experience at Kolli Hills became a defining spiritual milestone in his life: the moment when curiosity gave way to calling, and calling became commitment. He continued his spiritual journey under his Guru's guidance, carrying with him the blessings he believed he had received from the Siddhar and the divine grace of Lord Arapaleeswarar of Kolli Malai. In the years that followed, this spiritual foundation would become inseparable from his journey in Nadi Astrology, Siddhar wisdom and the sacred tradition of Nadi palm-leaf manuscripts — shaping not merely what he practised, but the purpose with which he practised it.
A Friendship That Became a Lifelong Journey
Guruji's journey into the ancient tradition of Nadi Astrology began through a close friendship. His friend belonged to a family entrusted with preserving the sacred Nadi palm-leaf manuscripts. Recognising Guruji's genuine interest, sincerity and deep respect for the tradition, his friend gradually introduced him to the knowledge that had been safeguarded within the family for generations. What began as a sincere curiosity soon developed into a profound commitment and, ultimately, a lifelong spiritual journey.
Learning the Sacred Art of Nadi Jothidam
Under his friend's guidance, Guruji began learning the intricate and sacred practice of Nadi Jothidam. His training extended far beyond simply reading predictions from palm leaves. It involved understanding the traditional methods through which a seeker's corresponding Nadi manuscript is identified and interpreted. He learnt how to examine and classify thumb impressions, how to search through numerous bundles of ancient palm-leaf manuscripts to identify the leaf associated with an individual, and how to interpret the old Tamil verses with care, accuracy and integrity. This required patience, discipline and years of dedicated practice. Every stage of the process demanded not only technical understanding but also a deep sense of responsibility towards the ancient tradition and the people who came seeking guidance.
Years of Dedicated Study and Practice
Guruji began studying Nadi Astrology in 1986, while he was still attending college. Over the following five to six years, he devoted himself to learning, observing and practising the traditional methods of Nadi reading. Through sustained study and practical experience, he gradually developed a deeper understanding of the palm-leaf manuscripts, their traditional classification and the methods used to interpret their ancient Tamil verses. By 1996, after years of learning and preparation, Guruji formally began his practice with a modest establishment at the temple. This marked an important transition from student to practitioner and the beginning of his dedicated service through Nadi Astrology.
In 1998, Guruji moved to Delhi, carrying with him the traditional knowledge and experience he had acquired over the preceding years.
Since then, he has continued to serve seekers in Delhi, offering traditional Nadi Astrology consultations and palm-leaf readings while remaining connected to the spiritual values and practices that shaped his early journey.
From a friendship that first opened the door to Nadi Jothidam, to years of disciplined learning and decades of practice, Guruji's journey reflects a lifelong commitment to preserving and sharing the ancient wisdom of Nadi Astrology. His path has never been merely about learning how to read a palm leaf. It has been about understanding a sacred tradition, respecting the wisdom entrusted to it and carrying that knowledge forward with sincerity and responsibility.
Over 30 Years of Dedicated Service
For more than three decades, Guruji has provided Nadi Astrology and palm-leaf readings to thousands of seekers from across India and overseas. His approach has always placed sincerity and service above financial gain. When he began, Nadi Astrology was still relatively unfamiliar in North India. Without relying on advertising, Guruji allowed genuine experiences and personal recommendations to build trust. Over time, the tradition reached more people — not through promotion, but through authentic experiences and word of mouth.
Guruji never sought publicity; recognition came through the experiences of those who encountered his work. Indian journalists wrote about his practice, while international researchers and media professionals, including those associated with London and PBS, studied his work between 2004 and 2011. Documentaries and publications subsequently introduced his approach to Nadi Astrology to audiences far beyond India.
Despite this recognition and having read Nadi palm leaves for thousands of seekers, Guruji remains simple, approachable and deeply committed to preserving the authenticity of this ancient tradition.
Safeguarding the Sacred Knowledge of Nadi Astrology
Guruji believes that certain aspects of Nadi Jothidam must be preserved with discretion and reverence. The traditional system of 108 thumbprint classifications, the methods used to distinguish them and the process of matching a seeker with the appropriate Nadi palm leaf are regarded as sacred knowledge entrusted through generations. "Sacred knowledge should be revealed only when it is genuine, necessary and appropriate." For Guruji, this is not secrecy for its own sake, but respect for the tradition. Nadi Astrology is not simply a commercial practice; it is an ancient spiritual heritage that must be preserved, practised responsibly and passed on with integrity.
For nearly 28 years, Guruji has continued to offer traditional Nadi Astrology consultations in Delhi, welcoming sincere seekers at Sri Kausika Mahasiva Nadi Jothida Nilayam, A-15, Ground Floor, Lajpat Nagar Part 1, New Delhi – 110024.
Guruji does not promise miracles, nor does he guarantee that a Nadi palm leaf will be found for every individual. What he offers is honesty, authenticity and a profound respect for the ancient Nadi tradition to which he has devoted his life. For Guruji, Nadi Astrology is not simply about predicting the future. It is about understanding your karma, gaining clarity about your life path and discovering a deeper sense of purpose through the timeless wisdom preserved in the sacred Nadi palm-leaf manuscripts.
A Life Dedicated to Nadi Wisdom
Guruji's life is a testament to what can unfold when faith is joined by dedication. From a young boy drawn towards spirituality to a devoted practitioner and custodian of one of Tamil Nadu's ancient traditions, his journey has been shaped by perseverance, humility and an enduring commitment to Nadi Jothidam and Siddhar wisdom. For those seeking authentic Nadi Astrology in Delhi — not merely a commercial reading, but a sincere encounter with an ancient spiritual tradition — Guruji continues to welcome seekers with the same simplicity and dedication that have guided him for decades.
As Guruji often says: "The Nadi will reveal itself only when the right time has arrived."
